“Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Howard Thurman

Welcome to Eighteen Forty Four!

I’m Penny Barker and the above quote by Howard Thurman is one of my favourites; it sits at  the heart of Eighteen Forty Four. I’m passionate about helping people to reconnect with what makes them come alive, both personally and professionally – this is the root of our wellbeing, the true essence of thriving.

Whatever your goal, whatever your challenge, if you are committed to creating a life that fulfils you, then Eighteen Forty Four will help you make it happen. You will discover the magic that happens when you trust yourself and step beyond your comfort zone. You will gain clarity, take action and get results.

How does coaching help?

My role as a coach is to create a space for you to do your best thinking. Whatever we work on together, I’ll help you get really clear about what’s important to you, set your direction and create momentum. We can all benefit from having someone independent and objective in our corner to bring out the best in us and help us to get out of our own way; I’d like to be that person for you.
